I never knew what I was missing until I met you is probably what we were thinking after we first met! Over fried chicken and beer, we talked, laughed, and started to fall in love! I must thank Kirsten's coworker for helping her craft a perfect text back after the date to let me know she wanted to see me again and the fun only continued from there! Little Landy her black lab can also get a shout out as a great wing man for being one of the reasons Kirsten started talking to me in the first place after I shouted him out on Hinge for his cute but goofy eyes! From our shared love of black labs, concerts, travel, trying new food, a good brewery, and live sports it was easy to make plans and share in each other’s interests and joys! From many afternoons and nights spent cheering on the Avalanche or the Broncos, to exploring Colorado as well as trying to check off visiting every state we love getting out and about together as often as possible. We have seen many concerts and have many more to go to and even got engaged before a Jordan Davis concert at Cheyenne Frontier days, a now must-see rodeo experiences every year! But more than the adventures and fun we share we celebrate each other in small ways every day! From being there when times are unpredictable, listening to understand and not just to hear, doing the little things that make each other feel seen and appreciated! We celebrate together every day but also make sure to go all out when it comes to Birthdays! We can be authentically ourselves together and love each other for it! We cannot wait to celebrate our love with you all, the people we love and care about most and the best friends and family anyone could ever ask for! See you soon!
It all started in April 2023 when Josh left a comment on a picture of Landy (my lab) and I on Hinge. We found ourselves on a first date at Post Chicken & Beer where we both went home thinking the other wasn’t interested. Thankfully I had a coworker help me write a text to Josh the next day and the rest is history.
Since then, we’ve been busy cheering at sporting events, booking trips just for the fun of it, and singing our hearts out at concerts. Somewhere between all the laughs and late nights, we realized we’d found something pretty special.
Last July at Cheyenne Frontier Days, right before the Jordan Davis concert, Josh proposed in the Beer Garden which honestly couldn’t be more “us” if we tried. It was perfect and totally unexpected.
We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all our favorite people!
